In den letzten Tagen war wirklich ziemlich was los…
Zunächst kamen mal wieder meine Gastschwester, ihr Mann und ihr Baby aus Tokyo übers Wochenende nach Matsumoto.
Am Samstag haben wir das schöne Wetter genossen und haben einen Spaziergang gemacht und zum Abendbrot hab ich mal wieder Kartoffelpuffer gemacht.
Am Sonntag war dann großes Familientreffen und es gab selbst gemachte Soba-Nudeln. Das sind Nudeln aus Buchweizen, die mit verdünnter Sojasauce gegessen werden. Dazu gab’s Tempura – frittiertes Gemüse und Fisch.
Vor dem Familienfest sind wir dann noch mal ganz kurz zu einer Ikebana-Ausstellung gegangen, die um die Ecke stattfand. Ikebana ist japanische Blumensteckkunst und sieht echt beeindruckend schön aus.
Und als ich dann am Montagabend vorm Schlafengehen noch mal ausm Fenster geschaut habe, da hat’s doch tatsächlich geschneit. Mein erster japanischer Schnee!!!
Das Fahrradfahren am Dienstagmorgen in die Schule war nicht das angenehmste, denn es war echt ziemlich matschig…aber der erste Schnee gibt mir dann noch schon ein bisschen Weihnachtsstimmung und mit Schnee können wir in Sport auch wohl oder übel nun auch keine Softtennis mehr draußen (!!) spielen – ein Glück, denn es wurde seit letzter Woche echt schon ziemlich unangenehm bei etwa 3°C draußen zu spielen…brr!

anyway, even if by italian standards my house is HORRIBLY cold, i consider myself pretty lucky compared to Japanese standards... i mean, i don't have the electric heater in my room, but the kerosene ("tooyuu" which is, more or less, oil) one, which works far better... in the living room of my house we used the "all-in-one cooler/heater" until two weeks ago, and i must agree with you: it's almost unuseful!! the air that comes out from that thing is far far far away from being "hot"... i'd call it slightly less than "warm". luckily, we have a big stove in the living room, which is now in use 24/7, and i find it pretty useful when combined with the kotatsu... i LOVE the kotatsu!! do you?
anyway, i find really unfair that you got snow in Matsumoto while we had very cold days with rain in Iida... :-(
also, the school stove is not in use yet down here... my sensei told me: "this year, due to the expenses related to the new Iida expressway, funds to the school have been decreased sharply, and therefore the stove will be on from next week". i stared at him 10 minutes... how can someone be THAT stupid? i am freeeezing during the class time; luckily i went to the uniqlo shop and bought the clothes that they're advertising right now... they're really hot, i love them! ^^
i want some ikebana too!!
